Environment
e7 Group monitors, manages, and reports our environmental impact with a particular focus on energy usage, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and waste management. We have a well-defined Integrated Management System with HSEQ policy and are certified with ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System (EMS).
We have undertaken eco-design measures to ensure our products are innovative and sustainable; a recent achievement being the Mastercard CEC (eco-card) certification.

Energy

We are committed to improving our energy performance and efficiency by continuously identifying reduction opportunities across all our operations.
  • About 90% of our overall lighting systems in the group and operating entity buildings have been converted to LED to improve energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
  • We have optimised our select HVAC systems with a target to reduce our energy consumption by 8.5% over the next 5 years against baseline year 2021.
  • Our total energy consumption has decreased by 20% in 2023 compared to 2022 because of our ongoing optimisation and energy saving initiatives across all our operations.

Emissions

We are committed to reducing atmospheric emissions. We continuously track our emissions through a bespoke GHG calculator tool, and the methodology of this calculator aligns with international best practices, including the Greenhouse Gas Protocol.
  • We have installed 40 solar streetlights to reduce our energy consumption and emissions.
  • e7 by Tawzea (last-mile logistics) has converted more than 50 cars and vans into flex fuel (petrol and CNG) to reduce emissions and delivery costs.
  • The adoption of energy efficient and energy saving technologies and products in addition with the above initiatives have helped us to reduce our overall emissions.
  • In 2023 the total GHG emissions was reduced by 11.69% as compared to 2022, and the emissions intensity in 2023 was reduced by 19.52% as compared to 2022.

Waste

We have developed a Waste Reduction Action Plan (WRAP) which ensures that our waste reduction practices comply with local regulatory requirements and support the waste reduction programs of Tadweer, Environment Agency Abu Dhabi (EAD), and other relevant authorities in Abu Dhabi.
